A series of four seasonal retreats April 25 and June 20 9am-noon Suggested donation: $35-50 for an individual session Facilitated by Twilla Epp-Stutzman
The natural rhythm of the seasons and the cycle of life and death within them mirrors the spiritual and emotional depth and complexity of our inner life. As it is in nature and in life, each season holds together the possibility and promise of transformation. When we root ourselves in the beauty and wisdom of each season, we place ourselves within a framework which can sustain, heal and ground us as we move through our own challenging life seasons. Each retreat will include space for group reflection and solitude, with guided questions and optional activities related to the seasonal theme.
These retreats are geared toward adults who are:
Desiring to live more intentionally and authentically into the seasonal flow of life
Grieving any loss of any kind
In the midst of a personal season of transition and/or uncertainty
Seeking guidance and wisdom as they release difficult things
Wanting to deepen their connection to the unique beauty and gifts each season offers
These seasonal retreats will each have a focus.
Autumn: Release (November 15) Associated with Autumn Equinox and All Saints
Spring: Rise (April 25) Associated with Spring Equinox and Easter
Winter: Rest (January 10) Associated with Winter Solstice and Epiphany
Summer: Restore (June 20) Associated with Summer Solstice and Ordinary Time
Autumn: Release
Autumn, the season associated with harvest abundance and thanksgiving, is also a transitional season of relinquishing and letting go. Autumn holds space and wisdom for us as we grieve our losses, release things that no longer serve us, and live into the uncertainty of change and transition, inviting us to open ourselves to the mystery and hope of transformation. “I assure you that unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it can only be a single seed. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.” (John 12:24) This retreat will include space for group reflection and solitude, with guided questions related to the Autumn theme of Release.
