Bird Walks
Final bird walk of the year:
Sunday, November 18 at 3pm Meet at the Welcome Gate. In October, six of us enjoyed the bird walk at Pathways on a lovely autumn afternoon. We observed 18 different species, including four different kinds of woodpeckers. In total, 101 species have been sighted on Pathways land, a hotspot on e-bird. Annie Aguirre, an avid birder who has an amazing ability to recognize birds by their song, leads bird walks at Pathways. Come join in the excitement of noticing our feathered friends, some who make their homes here and others stopping by for rest or nourishment. Consider bringing binoculars, hiking boots, outdoor attire, hat, etc. Walks last 60-90 minutes depending on bird activity. Suggested donation of $5-10/person per walk. No registration required. |
