Saturday, March 7 9am-noon Suggested donation: $10-50 Facilitated by Rena LeBlanc
These are disorienting times. Life can feel chaotic, like a wilderness of loss and uncertainty. Many of us have come to this season of Lent with questions and worries, wondering if there is anything we can do to make a difference.
In this program, we will look at the lives of two biblical women – Vashti and Esther – who also lived in disorienting times. Both women faced challenges and made difficult choices to courageously exercise the power they had. We will consider our own strengths and how we can use them in our contexts. Recognizing the limits of our power, we will take time to pause, seeking God’s help as we pray, plan, and prepare.
This retreat for up to 12 adults will include reflective reading, personal reflection, and group conversation. The goal is to leave the program with an awareness of our personal strengths and a renewed sense of God’s invitation in our lives for this time.
