Main Floor
Entrances
Upon entering the retreat house from the south porch, you find the welcome room. Shoes may be put on the shoe rack and coats on a wall hook. There are shoe covers for those more comfortable with shoes left on and fuzzy socks to keep stocking feet warm. An art piece featuring Psalm 42 invites guests to "Be still..." and prayer candles may be lit.
The north porch also welcomes guests with shoe covers, socks and space for coats. It is the desired entrance for a visit to the restroom, to go directly to the meeting room, or when you are meeting someone in the main floor office.
The back entrance will provide direct accessibility to the lower level once a walkway is in place (summer 2016).
Meeting Room (Gratitude)
The newly constructed meeting room holds 20 people comfortably. Light streams in from both the large east-facing window and pop-up window-lined ceiling. Invariably, one's eyes look upward upon entering the room.
When you do look around, you notice an iron art piece on the wall - a leafy tree. A rich symbol of life and reminder of how living things grow.
The kitchen is ready for hospitality with a sink, dishwasher, full-size oven, microwave oven and refrigerator. Coffee, tea and filtered water are always available for guests, as well as trail mix.
The gratitude room is home for a Kawai K500 piano whose mellow, vibrant tone adds to worship and music-making experiences.
Library
Pathways' resources are available for guests to read while here and borrow as desired. The featured art piece "Where dreams grow wild and beautiful and free" may inspire those who choose to meet in the library, a welcoming comfortable space for up to four people.
Restrooms
The main floor includes two restrooms. One is fully accessible with a sink and stool. The other is a full restroom with a tub/shower.
Office
An office featuring two large east and north facing windows is located at the side porch entrance. This provides much-needed working and meeting space.
