There are no more Zentangle Level 1 classes scheduled for the spring of 2025. If you are interested in attending a Zentangle Art Level class, please c1omplete the Zentangle Interest Form. If we have enough interest, we'll contact those on the Interest List to arrange a date & time that works for as many as possible.
Zentangle-inspired Art is the practice of mindfully drawing images from repetitive and structured patterns. It becomes a form of artistic meditation as one becomes completely engrossed in making each pattern, deliberately focusing on one stroke at a time. The “tangles” are stylized or abstract, non-representative images created by drawing a series of dots, lines, simple curves and circles. The creativity options and pattern combinations are boundless. There are no mistakes, only opportunities in Meditative Zentangle-inspired Art!
This art form:
Increases focus and creativity;
Provides artistic satisfaction;
Increases a sense of personal well-being;
Teaches you to slow down and pay attention to details; and
Is easy to learn, fun, and relaxing!
In this introductory class, Sylvie will teach several basic tangles and provide time for participants to practice contemplative Zentangle. Anyone can do Zentangle-inspired art! No artistic training or natural gifts are needed.
