Ash Wednesday Noon Prayer

Picture
February 22, 12:00-12:30pm
No cost or registration. All are welcome!

The service will be held on Zoom this year.
Join the service here:   https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82232186800

This service includes scripture, song, silence, and sprinkling of ashes. An opportunity to turn our faces toward the One who calls our hearts home. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

If you'd like ashes to be used during the service, there will be some available to be picked up at Pathways.  The ashes will be on the porch of the Retreat House all day Tuesday, February 21, and in the morning on Wednesday, February 22.
Stepping from the brightness of Epiphany
We enter and unfamiliar place called “Lent.”
Our eyes are slow to adjust to the change.
We blink back tears and stand still wondering if our eyes are open or closed,
For nothing visible lies before us.
Our senses tell us there are objects ahead-
Prized places, sacred spaces.
There is no sense of urgency;
Time has fallen away leaving forty days and forty nights
To explore this unknown, yet somehow familiar place;
Touching, feeling, knowing holy moments.
