The celebration of Candlemas on the 40th day of the Christmas/Epiphany season, originated in the late fourth century as a day of light and hope.
On Monday, February 2, you are invited to our Candlemas Celebration. In this simple service of light and blessing, the candles to be used this year at Pathways Retreat will be blessed. You are welcome to bring your own candles to be blessed as well. This service will be hybrid, so plan to attend in-person at Pathways or online via Zoom. Zoom pass code is "Pathways"
Please have the participant guide visible during the service. Attendees are encouraged to have a candle available to light and to gather their candles for blessing.
In the case of inclement weather, the service will be held online only. Check back for updates.

Our bright shining candles are a sign of divine splendor of the one who comes to expel the dark shadows…to make the whole universe radiant with the brilliance of eternal light.
